Blinking hourglass!

Anyone had and fixed this? While surfing my computer shut down and
restarted, whithout my interference. I have all the firewalls, anti virus
and spyware stuff so nothing else happened except the hourglass blinks
rapidly next to the cursor constantly ever since and drives me nuts. Also in
windows task manager, rgsvr32.exe starts and stops every couple of second,
I'm not sure if it's related but this doesn't happen on my other machine.
I've done several differetn virus checks and many spyware removal checks,
also hijack this but it's still there. Anyone?

Kim.

Question: rgsvr32.exe or regsvr.exe?
See this page: http://www.auditmypc.com/process/regsvr32.asp
Question on your shutdown: When this happened, did the computer act like it
had a power failure, or did it say :"Windows is shutting down"?
Is the hourglass present only when you are online?

Could you post a list of Internet applications and
extensions you may have installed (eg ActiveX/Plugins,
Toolbars, search tools, download managers, etc). Sometimes
happens when an agent downloaded and installed wants to
install another service which may not be compatible or is on
an internal blacklist. The service will be listed - but
blocked. Some examples are GAIN, bonzibuddy, my search,
weatherbug free.

blinking hourglass

I've lessened the problem by changing the in use icon to 'fill up' still annoying that there's a fualt. It happens all the time as soon as windows starts.I have the following active x applications:
Java plug-in 1.5.0._v.1.5.0.2 Dmi Reader Class v1,2,0,0 active scanner installer Classv.5,7,6,0,0

Plug ins:
Inter trust Redemption wizard
adobe acrobat plugin V5 for netscape
quicktime times 6. .dll 2.dll 3.dll 4.dll 5.dll 6.dll

regsvr32.exe starts and stops continuously in windows task manager. The working in background hourglass blinks rapidly and continuously nest to the pointer. Apart from that the computer works okay.
