Blend tracks together for Audio CD burn

I want to burn an audio CD and remove any gap between tracks by melding the
end of the first track with the beginning of the following track. That is,
taper the end of the first song as the next song starts up. Similar to the
way a DJ does it when going from one track to another.

Can this be done with any software?

thanks

You want to "cross fade" the songs. One easy way...

Load files into Winamp
Activate Nullsoft Crossfading output plug in (available at Winamp)
Activate & configure Disk Writer output plug in

Play the songs making sure "shuffle" and "repeat" are turned off...they will
play rapidly and you won't hear anything. When finished, you will have a
directory full of wave files which fade into each other. Burn the waves as
an audio CD. Be sure to reactivate your original Winamp output plug in.

Have a look at MP3 Direct Cut.
