Blank spaces

I have to go through a large document and replace double
blank spaces with one blank space. (ie. at the end of a
sentence.) I am told that this can be done with the
Search and Replace tool but I do not see how. Search does
not seem to recognize a double white space or double non-
breaking space.

Any ideas as to how to do this.

Depends. Are you talking about double spaces in between words or double
spacing (hard returns) in between paragraphs?

If actual spaces: Click "Edit", "Replace", in the "Find what" text box type
two spaces using the spacebar, in the "Replace with" text box, type a single
space using the spacebar, click "Replace all".

If your double-spacing refers to paragraphs, click the "Edit" menu, select
"Replace", click the "More" button, click inside the "Find what" text box
and click on the "Special" button and click on "Paragraph mark". Click
"Special" again and click "Paragraph mark" again. Click in the "Replace
with" text box and insert one paragraph mark as defined above. click
"Replace all".

Did that fix you up?
