blank screen after log off

I have 4 users on my XP home. For 2 of them nearly every
time they log off the screen goes blank and I have to
power down to continue.
 
George....This is not a fix per se, but when it happens turn your monitor off and then back on and, like magic, your screen will light up in all its splendor.
