When I have 3 users logged on and try to log one off,
Windows XP goes thru it's shutdown procedures, says it's
saving my settings, then the screen goes back to my
desktop with no icons or start button, and stays there.
I've used XP on my laptop for 2 years without this
problem. I have to power off the computer...any ideas?
Thanks for your help.

Sue,

I don't know the answer to your question, but I have similar issues with 5 users in my family, and every time another person wants to sign on, the other has to sign out and then it takes so long for the new one to get on. I noticed in your question that somehow you were able to get more than one user signed on at the same time. How did you do this?
