I experienced the same blank green when trying to view CNN and other news
and music source videos after having major Windows updates completed.
Searching for an answer I discovered that there is a problem concerning video
acceleration if you are using Windows Media Player..
Opening and accessing the Windows Media Player through the icon in the upper
left hand corner:
Click - Tools, Options and Performance in the Windows Media Player, reduce
the video acceleration to none and the green screen issue was resolved.
