blank first page in word 97

Using Word97 with HP 692c in Win XP. Since changing from W98 to XP I now get
a blank sheet ejected from the printer before printing commences. Anybody
have a fix please?
 
Windows XP uses a different printer driver from Win 98 - check its
properties to ensure that you don't have the separator page option set.
