blank cell

on spreadsheet I have a formula which should show an amount in a particular
cell but for some reason it is blank.The amount is there because if I click on
the column I can see the `ghost`.I have tried text color and background colour
but cannot get it to appear.Any ideas?

What happens if you copy the cell and "paste special values"
into another cell?
