data will not enter in cell

When I type data into a cell the cell is blank.The text color is on automatic
and the fill is on none. If I put fill on any color the data shows up in
reverse. Any ideas?
 
is this on all cells or just 1 - if it's only 1 maybe someone has set
Conditional Formatting from the Format menu? Click on the cell and choose the
COnditional Format command and you will see if anything is set.
