Blank CD not recognized

I used Nero to burn a CD, but cancelled it halfway through, I know that
wrecks the CD but that's OK, I threw it away. But now when I go to burn a
CD, it tells me to insert a blank CD. I installed Roxio, and the same thing
happens. Is there a place I can check in Windows, to fix this?
 
It is still trying to finish what you started to burn before. Those music
files are in memory, ready to be burned to CD, and will not let you start
a new session till the previous one is finished or cancelled. Go to My
Computer>rightclick your burner and click "write these files to CD" to
either finish the job or cancel them.
