Blacked-out icons

Hi,
My new computer is experiencing the weirdest thing - some
(but not all) of the desktop icons have become blacked
out. If I point the cursor at any blacked out icon I can
read its name, but it isn't half so efficient as being
able to see the actual icons. As anybody experienced this
and/or does anybody have a fix for this problem?

Hi,
download and install Tweak UI.It will rebuild/repair the icons.
