Blackberry Desktop Manager

Is there something (anything...) that can be done to allow
my Blackberry Users to use the desktop manager to synch
their BB devices to their Outlook 2k3 as they have done so
with previous OL versions?
I have contacted BB but a fix is not scheduled for some
time. Is there an application compatibility feature in
Outlook 2k3 like there is in XP OS? Currently when the
user connects the BB device the desktop manager crashes
and causes Outlook 2k3 to act up and prompt to close and
then reopen.
Any ideas are greatly apprciated,
thanks,
Jim

be sure you have the updates for the black berry software... also are you
using exchange or just pop3?

I am using Exchange 2k3 with a Blackberry Enterprise
Server (not the Desktop Redirector), no POP3 allowed. I
have approx. 8 BB users and we can all recieve emails and
those that synch with their OUtlook (XP or 2002) have no
problems. As the test user for Office 2003, it hosed my
Desktop Manager synching with my BB. Not a problem for
me, but it is preventing me from rolling out 2003 Office
and all those little goodies to my users.
I didn't know if there was a compatibility mode within
Office 2003 to throttle back to a previous OL like the XP
OS has for its applications.
I expect the fix from BB but not sure when. I haven't
been given a definitive (or tentative) release date to fix
it.
thanks,
Jim

Doubtful there's a fix until the Blackberry software is updated. I'd roll
back to Outlook XP or whatever version you were using before. Since you're
using Exchange and not PST for delivery (I presume) this shouldn't be a big
deal to do...

That's what I was afraid of, but that is alright. I only
use it for the email piece anyway. I can hold off until
the fix from BB before rolling out the 2k3 Office to my
other BB users.
thanks,
Jim

Once I get the fix from BB I will repost the solution. I
am expecting the updates within a few weeks; so says the
tech support folks at BB.
