black screen...

hi,
when i start up my computer, it shows the loading windows
xp home edition screen. but after that when i should see
the welcome screen it goes totally black. i cant see
anything. if i restart it and boot it up in safe mode it
shows the welcome screen and work perfectly normal(as
noirmal as safe mode is). any ideas?

Also check the graphic card,if not updated then update the
driver.Check the Event log also.
