Black screen when starting windows XP.

Hi,

Can anyone help me out ? My hard drive completed
installation of Windows XP, and run to the Windows main
screen completly. When it found new hardware on my
computer, it's hungup. I restarted the system, and after
ms dos loading sucessfully, it came up black screen,
instead of going to Windows welcome screen and ready for
using windows as normal.

Please help me out with this problem and tell me what to
do with it.

Don, WinXP did load successfully and then when it started looking at your
hardware it froze? Was it an upgrade? Did you
do a Hardware compatability check before installing WinXP?
