Black screen this morning

I thought I had my system fixed and that it wasn't hanging any more.

This morning, instead of the screen showing a frozen image, it was black.
CPU Green light was on, but the monitor said lost signal.

This sounds more like a hardware problem, doesn't it?

The power supply fan was running.
 
This sounds like a cpu or motherboard failure. If you cannot see the BIOS
initialisation or the Graphics card logo the processor and mainboard become
very suspect. Is your CPU fan running?

I see all of that and the fan never stops.
