Hiya morning

Yesterday whilst starting up one of my machines, I noticed that there was no post, not even bios would appear, the light on my monitor stays yellow. :( there is also no beeps coming from the internal speaker.

im a bit surpised why this has happened because I havent ly been messing around with the insides and the system has been working fine for months.

so i opened it up, probably there for an hour.
i checked my cpy, memory, took out ide cables, i even changed my graphics card but to no avail.
still no luck, the light stays yellow! :(

usualy from my experiences Ive come to the conclusion that normally this problem relates to the motherboard of the cpu!

does anyone have any ways to solve this?
thanks psd99

I have the same problem you have encountered with one of my pc's.

PC was originally rebooting everytime i tried to go into windows, so i tried to repair windows, this didnt work as it crashed, i run chk dsk command and it said it had repaired some errors. Tried a clean install of windows and it blue screened on me with UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME.

Anyway, so i swapped HDD's and now the PC wont even boot, no beep nothing. Swapped mobo, cpu, ram, gfx card, psu......fans spin etc and the cd-rom ejects but theres nothing to make the pc boot. I've also cleared the BIOS.

No ideas now, totally lost, was hoping that when i read this topic it would give me a fix....had this pc in this state for about 5 days now.

Any ideas?

Could it be a dodgy cable? You said you replaced most of the parts but did you use the same cables?

But the original post does sound like the psu is on its way out.

Cheers,

Swapped the HDD IDE cable, but i cant see cables being the problem, because the pc isnt even booting to post.

Probably not the cables but as you swapped everything else surley theres not much else left to replace.
Basically you've built a new machine. There must be something else being carried over causing the issue.

Stumped with this one :(

What about using another power cable or another power socket. Clutching at straws with this one.
