Black Screen after initial Boot Install

System Specs:
Amd X2 4800
2 GB mem
Asus N4 SLI mobo
Nvidia geforce 7900 gt
Sound Blaster X-fi

OK so the install works up through copying and unpacking the files, when the
system reboots selects into Vista i get a black screen. I used the DVD to
boot into the install and added all appropriate new drivers from Nvida to the
install.
Still black screen.

I had similiar problem, if the harddrive(HD) I installed Vista on is not on
SATA0 port then it will give the black screen and not boot. I have to
physically unplug my HD on SATA0 and plug in the HD with Vista on it in order
for it to boot. I have an ASUS A8N CMS-VM motherboard two SATA HD and IDE
DVD.

Even with dual boot if vista is not installed on SATA0 HD it would not boot,
which is very annoying.

If you are using SATA harddrive it seems that vista must be on SATA0 port or
it will not boot even with a dual boot drive that is on SATA0 if vista is on
another HD it will not boot, just black screen. I have ASUS A8N CSM-VM
motherboard not sure if is a nvidia chipset issue or if other are
experiencing this behavior on non nvidia chipsets.
