There are black block lines running through the screen at log on and at
different times during play on the laptop.... i was not the one to install
vista and everytime you log in you need to tell the computer to start windows
normally....is there a fix or a download i can install to fix these for vista
or do i just need to wipe and start all over....i tell you when kids get in
those computer classes they shouldn't be allowed to touch anything until they
are completely done with school....I know very little of vista just what i
have been forced to learn because some bright college kid decided to delete
IE from Windows XP and it ended up causing a whole lot of problems with XP so
they installed Vista Ultimate....am A+certifed but my strong suit is
hardware...

yeah that was something i was going to try but finding drivers has never been
fun for me.... and microsoft does not make it easy on there site to find and
download anything.....

You never get a hardware driver from microsoft; they causes probs as they are
normally earlier versions.

You either get a Graphics Card driver from the Graphics Card or
Motherboard's or Computer Manufacturer's website.

You can run software such as Sandra Lite or Fresh Diagnose to find mobo's
manufacturer, as it probably would be onboard graphics being a laptop.

fixed the black line problem but now there is a box that comes up that looks
kind of like dos something about system32 but then it goes away and vista
comes up..... still need to get rid of the start windows normally or in safe
mode....

thank you for all you assistance the intel driver is awesome....now just a
few more things for me to work out the kinks on and her computer will be
running pretty decent....
