Black and white screen when connecting to a tv

I´m tryning to connect my IBM Thinkpad T21 Win XP Pro
which has a S3 Savage IX video card with the latest
driver installed. When I connect via a S-VHS to Scart
adapter the screen on the tv appears in black and white.
I´ve tried all kinds of different video settings in the
computer but nothing seems to work. I´ve read that I need
so set the video card to send a composite signal but that
setting doesn´t seem to exist on se Savage IX card. Does
anyone know how to solve this problem?

i have hasd this happen to me when the S-Video cable is bent or twisted in a
strange way. try fooling with the S-Video cable on the PC and the TV.
