BITS problem.

I've tried to Install updates, but I kept getting error 0x80246008. So I
looked it up and my BITS was not started. I tried starting it and I kept
getting error 2: The system cannot find the file specified. I havent been
able to install updates for quite a while now. Is there any way to solve this
problem? Much appreciated.

Have a look at this KB -
You receive an error message when you try to download updates from the Windows Update Web
site or from the Microsoft Update Web site, or when you try to start the Background
Intelligent Transfer Service
