Birthday Filters

When trying to filter birthdays in my address book. Outlook will not find
them unless they were input under details section as being born in 2005 or
the current year. I am trying to filter people who have birthdays in the
next month. So if I put their birthday in under the details section of the
contact and I put their true birth year. Outlook will not filter it. Any
help would be appreciated.

filtering on birthdates is difficult - try using the month only when you
write the filter.

BTW - it's the recurrence pattern field you want. you'll need one filter per
month or period (use commas to separate month names if you want to show more
than one month: August, September) If you use a table view and
autformatting, you can create fewer filters and color code them by month.

I am using the pre filled filter that outlook gives me. should i change it
in the SQL part of the filter. if so how would i do that. I want to be able
to just hit one button in the middle of every month and find out who has a
b-day in the following month. I dont want to have to create multiple
filters.

Thanks,

I don't know of any way to do that - it's why I use 3 month periods and
autoformatting to color code so it's easier to see them.

So do you color code each month of birthdays and filter say the red color for
august and green for may and so on.

I use autoformatting rules and show June, July, august and have June
colored green, July purple, and august red. You could also assign categories
by month - June b-days have a June category, then group by category. This
would allow you to only show b-days with June as the category.
