I've just installed this motherboard with a 2500+ chip and it runs great.
I also updated the 7 Oct 03 BIOS without the logo. Is there a way to have
the boot screen show the IDE drives it found and other POST info as it
boots? I've seen the screen a couple of times but I'd like to turn it on
permanently.

It's in the BIOS - Summary Screen Show [Enabled].
You can also add the PC Health Screen (Temps, Fan Speeds, etc) to that.

Yes, press <pause>. Usually above the <page up> button.

Again, in the BIOS....don't know the exact title (wife is using her
computer), but default setting is to skip some self test to enable faster
booting. Disable this, and memory check, etc will run resulting in longer
display of screen.
