Matt
I have a Dell GX 620 that came with a SATA HD and an IDE CD-ROM drive.
I added a hard drive as a slave on the ide chain and formatted it in XP
without any problems. I then swapped the cd-rom drive for a dvd-rom
drive and used the exact same jumper settings. Now when I boot the PC,
I get errors that drives 4 and 5 (PATA-0 and PATA-1) cannot be found.
However, if I boot into Windows XP, both drives appear under My
Computer and they both are 100% working. Does anyone have any ideas on
why bios will not read them? I'm using Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version
1.10 A07. Thanks.
