BIOS SETTINGS FOR WINDOWS XP HOME SP2

Hi. Can anyone help me out with what the BIOS settings should be to install
Windows XP Home SP2. I am trying to install it onto an 80gig HDD in a HP
VECTRA. I don't have a windows boot disk and have tried to install a
downloaded version and keep getting error message "CD BOOT: Couldn't find
NTLDR". Can anyone help me with this problem?

Thanx, Kate.

The xpcd is bootable, you dont need a boot disk.
In the bios check the boot order, it should read something like this
Hard Drive
Floppy
CD

If you have been fiddling in the bios first set it to defaults, then locate
the boot order.
PS I'd have thought HP support pages would have had info, on some PC's there
is a F key that enables boot from cd
