i have a bin file that i have unzipped but i cannot
figure out how to run it, it is supposed to be a program.

Burn it with Nero or CDRWin

I think bin is part of and iso file that has to be burnt to a cdrom with a
program that can burn iso files to the cdrom. Is not a program file.
