Dear,

I am a beginner in windows XP korean version.
Recently, I had a trouble in using powerpoint and called MS service by phone.
They want to reboot my computer in safe mode.

After safe mode, all files, which located in system folders such as
shortcuts, my private data file, are deleted.
Therefore I have to recover my HDD.

What I want to know is how this problem can happen after safe mode.
Could you please the basic principle of the safe mode?

Now I complain my big trouble and XP's unstability to MS KOREA.
They don't want to contact a developer at MS in US.
If you know any developer's email address of MS in US, please let me know.

Thank you in advance.

To get the right contact at microsoft, simply use the support page,or use the
contact us at the bottom of home page. Also, did you try,"start windows in last
good configuration" option in safe mode...You could/can also boot to xp cd,
select recovery,press enter for password,then type:CHKDSK C: /R When its
thru (15-20 min),type:EXIT Let xp start up.
