Hello to all!

Problem is in fact very simple - My company uses Proxy for LAN. Until a few
days ago it was possible to switch off Proxy in LAN Settings manually.
However, I believe the security has been increased lately or I have
installed a few security updates which may have such effect, but I don't
know exactly what to do?

Have Win XP SP2, Lavasoft, Spybot, SpywareBlaster, Norton AntiSpam and
Norton SystemWorks. Proxy is now PERMANENTLY switched on and check box for
swiching off has turned grey. The situation is very unpleasant, because Big
Brother (System Admin) is watching my every move now! Is there a way to fix
this?

Any suggestions are welcome. URGENT HELP needed, PLEASE!

Thx a lot.

This is a corporate machine and as such you have no right to try and hide
your internet access.
If the admin has set a policy to force you to use the proxy server then a
deliberate attempt to bypass this may be a serious breach of company policy.
If you wish to access internet sites that you r company would rather you
didn't then don't do it on company machines in company time.

Every site I access on my company PC is logged and monitored - that is
corporate life.

Short answer - no you cannot bypass the policy short of removing your
machine from the domain and the as ensuring that any local polices are not
implemented.

If the PC belongs to the company - tuff @($*, if the PC belongs to you and
is joined to the company domain at work - again tuff !*#@, otherwise what
you do on your time, away from the company, not using the company domain or
PC is up to you.

You're probably the reason the new security policy was put in
place. Stop stealing from your employer and use his property (the
computer and Internet access) to do the job you're being paid to do.
