Sure - read on the usenet faqs past the bit about trolling and brush up on
help group etiquette and what to do when you find out you wrongly defamed a
company kiddo.

Wrongly?
I phoned in my order. I spoke to the guy. I told him I wanted to be
sure I would get the special price because it was a one day special.
He assured me that it would get his personal attention. He
overcharged me.
I think it is possibly a problem chip. I don't know, and
may never know.
But they lost any possibility of good will by
either deliberately or carelessly overcharging me.

I dont know what the company is like myself and its possible you might have
got a wrong part, the thing is you showed and later admitted that you're
not the one to judge properly wether the part is right or not - but its
academic now anyway, you did jump the gun, which rarely works out on usenet
unless you are looking to argue a poor, constantly shifting case (trolling
-can be stimulating in moderation).

I post worse myself sometimes, but also post retractions. It is
particularly frustrating when you have a valid gripe and get the
details wrong;)

In the group where Im reading this crosspost, I dont believe the quick
cursing is appreciated either, /*ducks for cover*/

(Ho hum:)
'good to see you got some help anyway,

OK, you seem to be more understanding now. I apologize for the quick
cursing. But I hope you also can see that when somebody is angry and
frustrated to begin with you won't get a civil reaction by making fun
of them or using sarcasm.

You're priceless! LOL!! You're blaming the company because *you* can't set
the FSB and/or multiplier correctly?! There's only one word for you -
****wit.

You obviously didn't even read what I wrote, asswad. I said nothing
about setting anything, I wrote about being overcharged. I don't
understand people like you. If you have something constructive to
add, go ahead, otherwise shut the **** up.

But this is one way people learn to reconsider,
so it doesnt become the place to dump frustrations.
To relieve your bloodpressure, the topic needs to be flameproof ;)

Talk about mature...

....and just because you are to dumb to know what you are doing doesn't mean
you didn't mention it. You said you bought a 1.33ghz chip and it only goes
1ghz any moron who's opened a computer would know that you didn't set your
FSB.

Email Michael Chang, president of Directron and give him the short and
sweet summary of what's happened.

Careful!
It'll probably turn out that his wife ran off with a tennis pro and he'd
like to murder the lot of them. :)

Actually, if you take note of the name I'm sure you'll get the tennis
reference.....

I've always had good dealings with this company...

I have been ordering with them for about 2 years now.... maybe an orde
every other month or so...

I had a similiar situation where I bought a power supply that was ba
after I let it sit around a few months before installing it.... i
fired up once, but not a second time... I had waited so long to try i
out, that I said screw it, and just ordered another one. If I had foun
out a day or so after it arrived, I would have called, and I'm sur
they would have replaced the part, but waiting any extended amount o
time after the date it was shipped to you would only give the compan
an excuse to deny a refund, exchange, etc. on the account of the tim
you had to use the product, switch the product, etc.

I think Directron is a great company, and I have seen their compan
grow a good deal over the last year or so, so it would appear that the
are able to satisfy customers other than just me. :)

A+ Directron D- original poste
