I recently bought the BetterWindowsSoftware domain name (because it has
a nice ring to it, eh?). We have imported PAD XML files from the
Assoc. of Shareware Professionals - repository - and we have been
enhancing the site regularly.

The greatest feature we have right now would have to be the "Similar
Software" listings that appear when viewing any particular software
title. This is a great feature because it will likely list other
software that does nearly the same function as the title you found,
perhaps a lot better or free. The "Similar Software" is based on the
keywords - and the matches with the most keywords from our 28,000+
titles are displayed according to the number of keyword matches. Try
it out - http://betterwindowssoftware.com/products-2504.html is a good
example where you should get the idea.

I recently wrote some code on my web page that allows users to submit a
site to our "Other Software Download Sites" list. The sites are
reviewed by the BetterWindowsSoftware staff before they appear on the
list. If you'd like to use our directory, or you'd like to recommend a
download site to our list, go to
http://BetterWindowsSoftware.com/sites.htm.

<joke>
Q: "Which software is better for Windows?"
A: notepad.exe - the best windows program ever.
</joke>

Anyway, aside from my site listing a bunch of software downloads (some
of which we know isn't good for windows - but I am not responsible for
that) and a directory of "Other Software Download Sites", what would
you expect to see at a site called "BetterWindowsSoftware" (aside from
the review of the notepad.exe software)?

I would watch out for some guy who buys a similar name, and is linking
to spyware. It would probably be something like "GoodWindowsSoftware"
or "GreatWindowsSoftware".
