[This is a 1 time announcement. I apologize for any inconvenience. Please do
not reply to this message on the forum, but send email to
(e-mail address removed)]

I'm looking for a few additional volunteers to help with preliminary review
of a new book I'm writing on Visual Basic 2005.

You will be asked to read about 25 chapters (each 25-35 pages) and to
respond to them within a few days of their posting (that is a very demanding
requirement). I'm looking for feedback on issues such as "does this make
sense" and "does this cover the topic" rahter than punctuation and grammar.

Note: I've already posted the first four chapters, but while you should read
all of them, you need only respond to chapter 4 (the others are already
submitted).

The ideal reviewer will be a VB6 programmer with little or no .NET
experience, but who wants to learn Visual Basic 2005 to develop either
Windows or Web applications. You must have Visual Basic 2005 (Whidbey Beta
1) to do this work. You will also need SQL Server, either Express or the
full edition and Visual Studio 2005.

If you are interested, please respond by 12/7 to
(e-mail address removed) and be sure to tell me: a) that you want to
review the Visual Basic 2005 book , and (b) that you are avaialble to read
and review the chapters quickly and (c) what experience you have as a VB6
programmer and what .NET experience you already have.

Please note: all reviewers be required to to sign a non-disclosure agreement
and to join Delphi Forums (it is free) where we have a private discussion on
the book. All who make a significant contribution will receive an
acknowledgement in the book and will receive a copy of the book on
publication.

Thanks!

LOL!

As a matter of interest do you use Bob Holness as your name allot? Or is it
*actually* your real name? I use Bob Hoskins quite allot so I just
wondered! Hoskins would have Holness *any* day of the week! ;-)

Nick.

Hi

I can ensure you that it is for real. I am one of the current beta reader.

Have a look at Jesse web site and you will find that he is the author of

P.S. Hollness could knock out Hoskins any day. You have no idea how cool I
was when I was on TV. Hoskins is just a guy who helped Roger Rabbit.
