This is a Total backup System user files etc.

Would like to use large USB stick or USB hardrive

And with a dead system recovery option, boot from USN device.

I prefer Acronis True Image.

It will do what you want and provides a bootable USB to do it from too.

But Only the Netbook version will work unless you use a separate
monitor.

10" screen to small.

Ho do I backup the MS stuff or the recovery option as it only supports a
DVD Drive..?

Any hacks to get around this..

No it doesnt, it supports a lot more then just a DVD drive,

You dont need one, it supports what you want to use out of the box.

If you knew where your data were, just copy your /users/youruser plus
other data folders.
