Best optical mouse with long battery life?

There is no definition that applys with heavy
metals, they cant be 'neutralised'

Nope. There is no 'extreme behaviour' when weak acids and alkalies
are neutralised, most obviously with vinegar and baking soda etc.

You don't entirely get it:

KOH displays extreme behavior when bringing it in contact with human
tissue. Really. Have your kid try it.
AFTER hving it react with acid. There is no extreme behavior anymore.
Hence the word "neutral".
Alkaline batterys are a different matter entirely, no need
to start hyperventilating about them any time soon.

Indeed. But keep them closed.
If they were a serious health risk, they'd have huge warnings on them.

They dont for a reason.
not a very solid inference, if I may say so.
Like saying the beetle is a good car because millions bought it...

I think you misunderstood, I meant cordless, batteryless.

I know. I was simply riffing on what you *said* -- which was "optical",
not "cordless". :)
Corded work fine, even better than same cordless version.

I know. Never had a need for cordless.

Not on a tiny AA or AAA battery you can't...

Pity about the packaging they come in.

Pity about the warnings on the batterys themselves not to put in a fire too.
they are taken in by recyclers just because of health risk.

Nope, just the purported environmental considerations,
and where the state mandates that like with California.
the zinc and manganese oxide are not much trouble.
It 's the KOH that they want off the streets.

Wrong. Its no big deal.
You won't DIE when using pliers on them, but still... NOT my kids...

It wont hurt your kids.

Nope, not as seen in alkaline batterys.

And there in 'extreme behaviour' with weak alkalies and acids before
neutralisation either, most obviously with vinegar and baking soda etc.

It isnt crucial.

You cant say so. When there are health warnings on even
stuff with lead in them now, there'd be warnings on the
them with alkaline batterys if it was a serious problem. There
isnt because there is no serious health problem involved.
Like saying the beetle is a good car because millions bought it...

Nope, nothing like. There cant have been any major problem
with that car if it was allowed to be sold for over half a century.

Hmmm...it is a "terrible" mouse, but not a "horrible" one?

According to my thesaurus:

Main Entry: terrible
Part of Speech: adjective
Definition: horrible

Almost seems contradictory. <g>

.... then I suppose I'll leave you befuddled.

They are shades of grey indeed, if you prefer I can rate it
4 out of 10?

skip the "weak"
Nope, not as seen in alkaline batterys.

yep. try it.

skip the weak
It isnt crucial.

true, if "crucial" is used in it's literal sense, like dying on the
cross

They often have, like Duracell

No thanks, thats the evidence that your claim just above is just plain wrong.
Nope.

try it.

Tried it, no 'extreme behaviour'

There is no cross, and no 'extreme behaviour' either.

No they dont, I was reading a duracell.
My Duracells here on my desk have...

How odd that mine dont.

And the battery itself has a warning to not put the battery in backwards,
dont charge it, dont put it in a fire, in THREE languages too, with an AA.
appeal to common practice or appeal to popularity:

Nope. Just a recognition that there is nothing at all
unusual about that particular car design safety wise.
