best antivirus software

i am running windows xp service pack 1 version 2002.
what would you suggest the best antivirus software to use
would be?
i have tried norton antivirus 2003 but i have encountered
a few problems.
any help would greatly appreciated.

I cannot recommend any particular product.
I can say that all of my PCs, Laptops (and Tablet) as well as all my Servers
are all running CA eTrust 6.x without any problems at all. This is on
Windows XP (SP1 or later) and Windows Server 2003.

There are other antivirus products and most that are certified for Windows
XP should work without any problems.

Also running CA eTrust, but v7, on my home machines and also on our office
