Belkin Smartbeam and Windows XP

I unfortunately connected my Belkin Smartbeam F5U230
infrared transceiver to my Windows XP Pro SP2 machine
without installing the drivers first. The manually say
that you must install the drivers first (but I read it
too late). Now I cannot get it too work.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling etc but nothing.

Has anyone had this problem and worked out how to solve
it?

How did you try uninstalling? Start->Run "devmgmt.msc" that device should
have a warning triangle. Delete it...
Now try installing the drivers first..
