Belkin ps2/usb adapter

Hi,

I use Belkin F5U119 ps2/usb adapter to connect mouse and
keyboard to my fujitsu siemens C1020 laptop. The problem is
that on keyboard on left side of spacebar 'windows' and
'alt' keys have changed meaning. Same thing has happened
with right 'windows' key and 'alt gr' keys. I have tried
numerous times to re-install the hid keyboard driver
-without success. Is there any other solution for this problem?

During editing a text document in the emacs text editor I
had pressed the ESC-w keykombination, which is 'copy
region' in emacs. Unfortunately this combination clashes
with one of the adapter's eeprom programming commands .
