Being Hijacked

I am not sure if this the right group to ask this question, but I'll
try. I spent last night 3 hours or so to get rid of some spyware
and Hijack stuff. This since my dad complained his pc was getting
slow.

I submitted the latest version of Ad-Aware and till my surprise the
same shit (Istbar, XXXtoolbar, etc.) was popping up, which I removed
2-3 weeks ago. By searching the web, I found people with the same
problems and based on what I read I was eventually able to get rid
of the stuff downloaded most likely with "Internet Washer Pro", which
he downloaded by accident.

I also removed Gator which is nasty stuff. Anyway, in one of the
article it was mentioned to install also SpywareGuard, which I just
did and it looks slick. But my question is:

Do I really need to have all these 3 programs:
- MacAfee Anti-virus (Yes)
- Ad-Aware
- SpywareGuard

Does anybody have any experience with SpywareGuard?

read the reply under your earlier thread entitled 'spyware'. if you
can't see the reply, ask OE6 to get you some more headers. LOTS more
headers.

Thanks Steve!!

I recommend also using SpybotS&D because it catches some stuff AdAware
misses and vice versa.
