Apart from the very good resources John W. Vinson mentioned, I like to add
another idea. Google for: ms access free training videos

One search result example is: http://www.myaccessprogram.com/Tutorial.html

Seeing and hearing how things are done, sometimes makes learning a lot
easier than just reading about it.
