I would like to learn more about visual basic and Access. I can't find
too many tutorials that I can follow because of my lack of knowledge
thus far. If someone could point me in the right direction of where to
go for beginner to intermediate tutorials or projects in Access it
would be very helpful.

Check out the following book:

Access VBA Programming for dummies

This is assuming you have a basic knowledge of Access itself. If thats
not the case check out the Access for dummies as well.
