If you are excited about the puting up a home theatre and want an HDTV make sure it is future proof! Some HDTV's even current models may not be upto task to handle the HD-DVD and Blu-ray disks which are the next generation High Definition Video formats.

What you need to protect yourself is to have an HDMI connection on your HDTV set otherwise you will be watching standard definition.

And make sure it has an onboard digital tuner if you in the UK cos analogue transmissions are now being faded out.
