Before I reinstall

I have received conflicting answers to this question so I try one more time.

I upgraded from a clean install of XP to Vista for Business.

When I select "Save As" from any application, the drop down addresses at the
top of dialog box are all Internet History (web URLs) not local drives. It
makes no sense to save a Word document to CNN.COM, but many people have said
thats just the way it is with Vista (stupid) and others say that they don't
get URLs . . they get local drive resources.

Can someone check to see what address choices they have on the drop-down
address list when they select "Save As" from Word or some other application.

Thanks

I think if you do what Gary said and choose where you want to save the file,
it should then default back to the previously saved location each time you go
to save again. Worth a try.
