I agree with Brian as I'm not familiar with a program by that name I'd run
Spybot and AdAware to see if they get rid of it.
AdAware: www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/
Spybot S & D: www.safer-networking.org/

I ran the Earthlink spyware tool but the file is still there. I found a
note that I made a while back that gives a location of the file itself and I
couldn't find it there so I think I removed it and all that I'm dealing with
is the Icon. I tried highlighting it and using the delete key with no luck
and also tried the delete in the taskbar but there is no response to either
of those methods and to single click /highlight the icon and select delete
from the file menue doesn't work either because delete isn't accessible in
the pull down menu. Is there a way to change the status of an Icon that is
write protected? I think that is what is stopping me from deleting it.

BDE-Verwaltung showed up in my Control Panel and I don't know where it
came
from, or how to get rid of it. Right clicking it only shows open and move
and it doesn't show in my add/delete file list. It shows konfiguriert die
borland database engine when the cursor is placed over it.

Greetings --

The Borland Database Engine Administrator ("verwaltung" is German
for administration) applet is added to the Control Panel whenever one
installs a database application that is based upon Borlund's older
FoxPro. It's not any sort of malware; It's normal purpose is to help
configure and administer the accompanying database application.

Greetings --

To remove a Control Panel applet's icon, search for and delete the
corresponding *.cpl file in the %WinDir%\System32\ folder.

Thanks, that's reassuring, it showed up and was in German and I couldn't
delete it so I deleted it's program and the Borland folder but I couldn't
get rid of the Icon, I'll try the suggestion in the previous post.
