BCM networking

I have a client with SBS2k3 based networking that is looking for a basic
(they are a service company) CRM solution.

If we look at OL2k7 w BCM, can this be integrated with the Exchange, or can
BCM contacts be shared across he workgroup?

Any guidance gratefully accepted.

I am using SBS 2003 Premium and BCM works along side exchange very well, the database is shared and all can access it... It seems a great bit of kit, for the price!!!

BCM is an addon to Outlook, the data is not stored in Exchange but rather a
SQL 2005 database. If you set up a main BCM database most likely on your
database server each of the client machines with Outlook BCM installed can
synchronize their data with the main database to maintain up-to-date
customer information.

BCM is basically another set of data files within Outlook that has forms
that display data from the BCM database.
