BCM disappeared

I'm running BCM v2.0 with SBA SP1 and syncing with my PDA via ActiveSync 3.8.
Things worked well for about 5 - 6 weeks then Outlook lost BCM. Then Menu Bar
no longer displays the Business Contacts menu and when I tried to open the
Business Contact Manager folder from the Navigation Pane, it errored that SQL
Server wasn't started. I started MSSQL$MICROSOFTSMLBIZ and tried again. Now
it errors with "The set of folders count not be opened. The server is not
available. Contact your administrator if the conditition persists."

The condition persists.

BTW, i can open SBA and can access SBA databases from MS Access if this adds
any clues.

I'm trying to demo SBA with BCM for my small business clients and am dead in
the water until this is resolved.

Your help please.

Hi Alan

Can you go to satrt > run > services.msc and make sure MSSQL$MICROSOFTSMLBIZ
staus is set to started and status type is set to automatic.Because look
like the comm addin for BCM is falling to load.

Good job, Raul-

That did the trick, although I had to manually start the service the first
time.

Any thoughts on what may have initiated the incident and kicked the service
to manual?
