BCM 2007 TR and SQL on other server

I've got a problem. I have a working setup under XP with Outlook and BCM 2007
B2 with BCM connected to my main SQL server running on my DC. BCM 2007 B2 has
a choice to let you create a database on another server and it also connects
fine to the database.

I'm now playing with/using the Vista RC1 release and have installed Outlook
and BCM 2007 B2 and it works just like it does under XP. However, if I patch
Outlook to 2007TR and remove and reinstall BCM 2007TR, I can't connect to the
database anymore. It just tells me that there is no BCM database on the
server. The option to create a new database on another server is also gone.
So I can't connect to the existing or even create a new database. I can
create and use a local (SQL Express) database just fine.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any ideas? I'm ok for the
moment using the 2007B2, but would like to upgrade to see what the fixes are
and to avoid the glitches present in B2.

FYI, I have not tried to upgrade my XP installation to 2007TR as I don't
want to mess that load up.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you have the same user/passwd on the Vista client as you had on Xp?

I assume the DC server software hasn't changed; i.e., you didn't
upgrade it to Vista.

Another possibility is that the server database won't show up because
it is a different version from the BCM TR client(?).

yes, both the XP and Vista log into the domain as me.

DC is still the samer SBS 2003 + SQL 2005 Standard SP1

Database difference is possible, but the BCM TR doesn't even give me the
choice to create a database on a different server like BCM beta did. So I
can't even verify the ability to connect to another server.
