BCM 2007 Offline synch fails - help!

Hi,

Business Contact Manager 2007 with a server-based shared database. At some
point something has happened which means that no PCs can create an offline
copy of the database. They could originally; but can't now. The process
appears to be working until just near the end of the progress bar when it
stops and pops up: "Business Contact Manager for Outlook could not complete
your last set of action or actions. Please try again."

How can we fix this?

thanks

Try tunring on logging (in the BCM About dialog) and then check the
messages in the log file when you get this error.

I am having this exact problem. I have been using BCM for about a year now,
and it suddenly stopped allowing an offline database. I have tried to fix
this with help from MS support (in india), but they marked my case closed
when I went on vacation, and didn't answer their e-mails (even after I told
them I would be away for a week). They now refuse to open the case again,
since my only contact there has moved on to other things.

I can get on the database, online, but this is not practical while travelling.

Please help.

I have the same problem with one of my users. The error message I get is "An
unknown error occurred while trying to synchronize offline and online
databases."

Did you find a solution to this?

I have not yet found a solution. I tried just about everything I could find
in different forums, as well as the Microsoft site. One of teh MS links told
me hos to manually remove the registry keys associated with this, and that
didn't work. BCM will not update, or uninstall because it says that it is an
"unexpected version", and backs out of the uninstall. I have given up trying
to fix. I am getting a new Hard Drive, and reinstalling Office. If it still
fails, then I am moving to ACT. I think it is an SQL issue, but nobody from
the SQL group will help (they point the finger to BCM support). I have been
able to get to the live database, and will use that when necessary (even
though it is slower than molasses in February in Chicago).

Add a me too please.

Offline database creation used to work with our laptop users and suddenly
they can no longer create and offline database.
