BCM 2007 Database sharing.

Trying to share BCM 2007 with Office 2007 installed on XP Pro over a network.
I was getting the "cannot find computer blah, verify that it exists on the
network".
fiddled around and now i get the "cannot access the database sever on blah.
I have looked at most of the support out there and cannot seem to figure out
what is causing this. One computer is Running Norton and I is running Panda.
I have tried to open up the ports on both computers to get it to work.

I NEED to get BCM working for our buisness and I'm almost worn out.

How to troubleshoot a shared DB

I could not share out the DB, until I manually configured the MSFT Firewall
Exception list for a PORT for 'Microsoft Small Business' 56183.

This info is for BCM 2003, not 2007 Beta, but the same might apply, thought
it might help. The name that you have to exception might be different though
in 2007, if this info even applies to your case.

With BCM 3 (2007) the port is 5356.

Check your server's firewall setting and see if it is blocking port 5356.
Note: if you have both Norton and Windows firewall running, make sure neither
of them is blocking this port.
