BBC2 Money Programme about Vista

I have just finished watching a Programme on BBC2 (UK) all about Windows
Vista. They was marketing it using the WOW catchphrase had to laugh at the
end when the reporter said to some girls in a PC World shop how many
billions it cost to Produce Vista (who said they didn't think it was much
different looking than XP) - when they were told how many billion and how
many years to produce they simply said 'WOW!' - I thought that was funny.

Anyway why call it Vista? - they should have just called the product Windows
WOW! - has a nice ring to it and the acronym could have spelt out Windows on
Windows.

A very interesting TV programme but the programme was right that their
biggest failing was not to bring out Vista in time for Christmas. And when
the customers were asked in PC World would they upgrade to Vista the answer
was mainly no because of the price 99.00 and 150.00 UK Pounds with one man
saying that he wouldn't upgrade but rather get it loaded as standard with a
new PC instead.

Andy.

Also funny seeing a designer explain how chuffed she was that she/they got
rid of the word 'START' on the start button in Vista because of all the
feedback they got of people saying it was confusing to push the start button
to shut down the PC on earlier versions!
