Basic Questions

This may seem like a basic question, but I am new to FP, and I was wondering
if the same website can be updated by two different computers at different
locations. To be more specific, my teacher manages his class website using FP
2003 at his school computer. He has asked me to help update the site. I also
have FP 2003 at my home computer--can he and I both access and update/manage
his site with two computers? If so, how?

Yes. You will need the log on details to log on "live" to the server and
open the live site through FP, and update the pages.

That way, you're not likely to overwrite each other's changes if you publish
down the site to your PC (and your teacher does the same) then if you make
changes in advertantly to the same page and republish, one will overwrite
the other.

You might want to create a page to "log" the changes you're making so you
and your teacher can keep track of what changes each are making. Nothing
fancy, just a page, with a table showing short descriptionof change, the
page (file) name and the date the update was made.
