I don't understand why when I highlight row 1 and go to Window and select
Freeze Pane, rows 1 - 9 Freeze, I only want row 1, why would this be? Any
help is certainly appreciated. Thank you

If you just want to freeze row 1 (without freezing any columns), then
put the cursor in cell A2 and do Window | Freeze Panes. If you want to
freeze the top two rows, start with the cursor in A3. If you want the
top row and the first column, put select cell B2 - can you see the
pattern?

Put the cursor in the cell immediately below and immediately to the
right of any rows/columns you want to freeze, and then do Window |
Freeze Panes.

Hope this helps.

Pete
