I have a worksheet with 30,000 rows. When I apply freeze panes and then try
to scroll down the sheet does not scroll. To do scrolling I have to undo the
freeze panes command of the selection.

Any idea as to why will be greatly appreciated

Where is the cursor when you are applying the freeze panes?

Hi,

Place your cursor on the line below the one you want to freeze and then
choose View, Freeze Panes, Freeze Panes.

Note if your cursor is below the visible area of the screen then when you do
this you will not be able to see the area you are scrolling - that is, your
cursor should be viewable and there should be rows visible above and below
it when you choose freeze panes.
